to historic Stanford, Kentucky, established in 1775.  We are the second oldest town in Kentucky and have deep roots in history.  Along with a strong commitment to preserving our heritage, we also welcome new business and industry with open arms. We are very proud of the way the ongoing revitalization of our beautiful City encompasses both our past and our vision for the future.

We are a Mayor-Council form of government and our citizen's elect a mayor and six council members.  We look forward to sharing our rich history, enchanting present, and exciting future with all who visit or decide to make Stanford their home!
